Refund & Cancellation Policy

At The Dream Route Escapes, we understand that travel plans may change. This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains the terms applicable to cancellations, refunds, and booking modifications.

1. Booking Confirmation

  • A booking is confirmed only after the required advance payment is received.
  • By confirming a booking, the customer agrees to this Refund & Cancellation Policy.

2. Cancellation by the Customer

Cancellation charges will apply based on the number of days before the travel date.

3. Refund Policy

  • Refunds, where applicable, will be processed after deducting cancellation charges.
  • Refunds are subject to the cancellation policies of hotels, transport providers, activity operators, and other third-party suppliers.
  • Processing time for eligible refunds is generally 7–21 business days, depending on banks and payment providers.
  • Transaction charges, payment gateway fees, taxes, and other non-refundable charges may be deducted where applicable.

4. Non-Refundable Services

The following are generally non-refundable, unless otherwise stated:

  • Hotel bookings
  • Flight tickets
  • Train tickets
  • Entry tickets
  • Activity bookings
  • Jeep Safari bookings
  • Boating reservations
  • Houseboat bookings
  • Special permits
  • Government fees
  • Service charges
  • Convenience charges

5. No Refund Will Be Given For

  • No Show
  • Late Arrival
  • Early Departure
  • Unused Hotel Nights
  • Missed Sightseeing
  • Missed Activities
  • Missed Meals
  • Personal Schedule Changes
  • Flight or Train Missed by the Guest
  • Any unused portion of the package

6. Changes Requested by the Customer

  • Any change in travel dates, hotel category, itinerary, vehicle, or number of guests is subject to availability.
  • Additional charges may apply.
  • Requested changes cannot be guaranteed until confirmed by The Dream Route Escapes.

7. Cancellation Due to Force Majeure

If travel is affected by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Natural Disasters
  • Floods
  • Landslides
  • Cyclones
  • Earthquakes
  • Heavy Rain
  • Government Restrictions
  • Curfews
  • Political Unrest
  • Pandemics
  • Epidemics
  • Road Closures
  • Flight or Train Cancellations

The Dream Route Escapes will make reasonable efforts to assist with rescheduling or obtaining available supplier refunds. Refunds, if any, will depend on the policies of the respective hotels, transport providers, activity operators, and other suppliers. We are not responsible for losses arising from such events beyond our reasonable control.

8. Cancellation by The Dream Route Escapes

If a tour must be cancelled by The Dream Route Escapes due to operational reasons or circumstances beyond our reasonable control, we may offer:

  • An alternative travel date
  • An alternative package of similar value
  • A refund, where appropriate and after accounting for non-recoverable third-party costs

9. Third-Party Services

Hotels, transport providers, airlines, railways, activity operators, and other suppliers have independent cancellation and refund policies.

The Dream Route Escapes acts as a travel organizer and is not responsible for refund decisions made by these independent service providers.

10. Processing of Refunds

Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method whenever possible.

Refund timelines may vary depending on:

  • Banks
  • UPI Providers
  • Credit Card Companies
  • Payment Gateways
  • Financial Institutions
